Scope of Duties:
Ensure the vessel's machinery spaces are
safely maintained and operated in accordance with:
Watch keeping standards laid down in the International Convention on
Standards of Training Certification and Watch keeping for Seafarers 1995
(STCW '95)MARPOL 73/78Flag RegulationsClass Regulations and RequirementMachinery Manufactures' RecommendationsThe ISM Code The ISPS Code

Assist in ensuring that the vessel's working operations are conducted
in a safe way that avoid personal injury, property and environmental damage.
·
Instruct and encourage crew to work safely.
·
Promote and comply with COMPANY OMS policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
Certificate of Competency in accordance with STCW95 and national
regulations.Certificate of Medical Fitness in accordance with ILO requirementsMinimum experience in same rank and vessel type for minimum 2 years.Must have experience with Wartsilla and Caterpillar engines.Must have electrical knowledge and able to read electrical diagrams.
